Hi DN, I'm super familiar with service dogs & emotional support animals. My co-op is so anti dog that when we were applying we needed at least 5 notarized signatures on areas pertaining to NO DOGS. They don't even allow dogs on the property (no visiting dogs). Alas, there are dogs everywhere now. Emotional support animals can be any type of animal, which is protected by housing and disability law, usually with some limits (no exotic animals). I do think that housing does have a right to ask for a Dr's note. But that's easily taken care of... I mentioned to my Dr once that our apartment landlady said no pets and she - without any hesitation, or me asking - offered us a note. (I loved this Dr!) Emotional support pets were in the news a few years back when people started to take non-standard pets on airplanes, like ducks, mini horses, pigs, etc. Airlines put a kabosh on that and said trained service animals are ok, but any emotional support animal can only fly as a standard pet in a carrier and then they banned a whole bunch of large/exotic animals from flying in-cabin. In our community, people are also really upset. I have some dogs very close by, but they are good boys & girls & I bring them gifts when I get dog stuff from events. And their humans are super considerate. However, I don't know how happy I'd be with a Great Dane running and barking over my bedroom though... Will you have more meetings? Or was it just informative/venting? This food show was spectacular. I tried some super delicious things, but the full-sized samples were so generous. I had to leave early this day because my bag was so heavy. A favorite was: Have you ever seen Hot Ones on RUclips where they eat hot wings? I tried their hottest hot sauce and I lived to tell the tale! 🥵. As always, thanks for watching.

@@farbav Hi Beth, Thanks for all the information about Emotional support animals... Apparently the unit has been sold and the new owners will be allowed to bring their dog. The meetings was informative but, a lot of people are very VERY unhappy , mainly because they moved into the building since it was no pets, But the dog must be on a leash at all times, it can't be a nuisance , and a few other restrictions. I would think that a person with a emotional support dog would find it a better living arraignment if they move into a a building that allows pets, since they might find it difficult and not the most welcoming to live in a no pet building. I'll be welcoming and a good neighbor to them, so.... at least they have one person on their side..😀 Today I was reading a lot about the federal laws regards these pets and there is discussion in US Congress to change the law that no pet buildings do Not have to allow emotional support animals. but its just discussion right now. ...Hot Wings would be way to much for me, I can only take light mild spicy hot foods.. .If I would take a bite, it would probably do me in... 😝

Hi DN, I have to think that someone who is going to jump through hoops and potentially anger all the neighbors, really, really wants to live there. And we all want neighbors who love their homes. Plus they really love their pet. A while ago I read a study about how affection for pets goes hand-in-hand with concern for nature and the World. That being said, hopefully, you'll end up with a really nice new neighbor.

Hi DN, What sort of platform should we run on? I'd like to campaign for friday movie nights, weekend summer barbecues and a pool - wherever we can fit one! Roof, basement, parking lot - wherever! Obviously with MINIMAL impact to maintenance charges. haha.

Hi DN! It was fun this year! I got a lemonade, which was really good. I 💗 street fair lemonade. We were going to pickup a snack, but then realized that most of the bakeries at the festival we pass on a regular basis - so we didn't feel obliged to stand on the long lines.
